The government and NHS England have relicensed England’s 15 s (AHSNs) to better reflect their role as the innovation arm of the NHS. As a result Eastern AHSN is becoming ‘Health Innovation East’.

Eastern AHSN will become Health Innovation East on 1 October 2023.

While our name is changing, our work is not. We are the same company of specialists committed to turning great ideas into positive health impact.

We will continue our work in the East of England and beyond – supporting the spread of innovation across the healthcare system, helping innovators to thrive and boosting economic growth.

Healthcare providers, academia, industry, innovators and patients with lived experience.

• No – the only difference is our name is changing.

Suppliers and service providers

• No – there won’t be any changes to the way we partner.

Between 18 September and 1 October, we’ll be in touch to let you know more about our new name, our programmes and our priorities.

Health Innovation East in 100 words: Our purpose at Health Innovation East is to turn great ideas into positive health impact. We were established by the NHS to convene all partners in the health sector, to develop and deliver innovative solutions in health and care. Our focus is the East of England, but we are part of a national network which enables us to deliver at scale. Citizens, academia, health services and industry will achieve more working together than they will in isolation. Our job is to make this happen. We do this by helping innovators to navigate complex systems, generate value propositions and connect stakeholders to overcome challenges together.
