The Avoiding Brain Injury in Childbirth (ABC) Programme aims to significantly reduce avoidable brain injury during labour by strengthening maternity units’ ability to recognise, escalate, and respond to Intrapartum Fetal Deterioration (IFD) in a timely, consistent, and well‑coordinated manner.
This page provides a centralised training and resource hub for maternity professionals across the East of England who are implementing the IFD Programme, developing local clinical skills, or embedding the wider ABC Programme within their services.
