App: SelfCert (DTAC)

Easy ‘self-certified’ DTAC assessment: An app supporting compliance for this essential NHS framework – for any digital product

The Digital Technology Assessment Criteria (DTAC) is an essential compliance framework, created by the NHS, for digital products in the health and care system.

DTAC is a series of questions that can be completed by the product owner – it is ‘self-certified’ – and then assessed by NHS organisations for compliance. DTAC incorporates questions about the product, intended purpose, value proposition, clinical safety, security, data handling and interoperability.

Responses to the DTAC assessment can also be independently verified by third-party agencies which specialises in compliance. The cost of these assessments which can often run into thousands of pounds.

SelfCert has been exclusively designed to bring together all the questions, resources and information about completing the DTAC into a single place. SelfCert is designed to be a cost-effective solution. At just £150 (exc VAT), SelfCert allows innovators to complete DTAC , with the functionality to create a report of responses to either send to an NHS organisation or a third-party assessor.
