Reducing anxiety in children through virtual reality |

FeNO testing is a method of diagnosing asthma by measuring fractional exhaled nitric oxide (FeNO) in the breath of patients. It aims to improve patient care and outcomes by more effective diagnosis of patients suspected of having asthma. Rollout supported nationally by the AHSN Network as part of the Rapid Uptake Product (RUP) programme. |
MySpira |
MySpira is an app that uses augmented reality and gameplay to help children between the ages of 6–13 years learn about asthma and proper inhaler technique, to reduce the number of children admitted to hospitals for incorrect use of inhalers. |
Opioid deprescribing toolkit |
The Health Innovation East is working in partnership with the ARC and Norfolk and Waveney CCG to improve the quality of life of people living with chronic pain and reducing the harm caused by opioids and other dependence forming medication. |
The MedTech Funding Mandate (MTFM) |
The MedTech Funding Mandate (MTFM) is an NHS Long Term Plan commitment to give patients access to selected NICE approved, cost-efficient technologies more quickly. We are working with suppliers to support trusts to implement the selected innovations, understand local and regional issues and share learnings from NHS organisations who have already implemented them. |
Worthwhile Waiting |
Worthwhile Waiting offers a new care pathway for orthopedics patients (hip / knee) to work with their health coach or social prescriber to identify appropriate physical and mental wellbeing support services during the period they are waiting for surgical procedures. Health Innovation East is funding an evaluation to understand how the resource affects patient outcomes. |
