Find out about our work

We support projects at different stages of the innovation pathway to deliver meaningful change to health and care. These are some of the programmes of work and innovations we have supported.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Innovation for Healthcare Inequalities Programme (InHIP)

Health Innovation East is supporting integrated care systems (ICSs) in our region to address health inequalities in line with NHS England’s national Core20PLUS5 programme.

The System Safety Improvement Programme (SSIP)

The aim of the programme is to create optimal conditions for patient safety improvement to flourish through working closely with integrated care systems (ICSs).

Focus ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder)

The Focus ADHD programme aims to transform the diagnosis of ADHD across the region. As part of our Focus ADHD programme we use the QbTest which is an objective assessment tool for the assessment of ADHD.
This is a national Health Innovation Network adoption and spread initiative.

Just One Norfolk

JustOneNorfolk.nhs.uk is a trusted multimedia educational initiative (e-learning / website, community forum, helpline, confidential chat service for children) available 24/7, empowering Norfolk parents to achieve the optimum health and wellbeing of their children (0-19 years).

Little Journey

Reducing anxiety in children through virtual reality

Opioid deprescribing toolkit

The Health Innovation East is working in partnership with the ARC and Norfolk and Waveney CCG to improve the quality of life of people living with chronic pain and reducing the harm caused by opioids and other dependence forming medication.
We are working with senior NHS staff and patients to pilot a toolkit for clinicians to aid the deprescribing of opioids in the region.

The Mental Health Safety Improvement Programme (MH-SIP)

This programme aims to improve the safety by reducing harm caused to people using mental health, learning disabilities and autism inpatient services by 2023.

Worthwhile Waiting

Worthwhile Waiting offers a new care pathway for orthopedics patients (hip / knee) to work with their health coach or social prescriber to identify appropriate physical and mental wellbeing support services during the period they are waiting for surgical procedures. Health Innovation East is funding an evaluation to understand how the resource affects patient outcomes.
