We support projects at different stages of the innovation pathway to deliver meaningful change to health and care. These are some of the programmes of work and innovations we have supported.

PROJECT DESCRIPTION

Innovation for Healthcare Inequalities Programme (InHIP)

Health Innovation East is supporting integrated care systems (ICSs) in the east of England to address health inequalities in line with NHS England’s national Core20PLUS5 programme.

East of England Stroke Forum

The EoE Stroke Forum convenes healthcare professionals from across our region with a specific interest in stroke services.

The System Safety Improvement Programme (SSIP)

The aim of the programme is to create optimal conditions for patient safety improvement to flourish through working closely with integrated care systems (ICSs).

Assessing remote monitoring pathways in integrated care systems

This project aims to evaluate how remote monitoring can track a wide range of conditions at home, and who it can help most. Health Innovation East has partnered with the NIHR Applied Research Collaboration East of England (NIHR ARC EoE) for the programme, with funding from the NHS Insights Prioritisation Programme (NIPP).

C the Signs – Clinical decision support tool

C the Signs is an integrated (Systm1 or EMIS) clinical decision support tool to aid cancer diagnosis. It uses AI to support GPs with risk-assessing patients by checking combinations of signs, symptoms, and risk factors, and will then suggesting an appropriate diagnostic pathway. The practice dashboard provides support for patient safety-netting.

CareMonitR

CareMonitR enables GP Practices to automate their recall and monitoring activity for patients with long term conditions and standardise care for multimorbidity management. Using intelligent algorithms, the software automatically identifies patients requiring recall and highlights tests required prior to the patient’s review. CareMonitR is a product from CareDoctR.

DASHclinic

DASHclinic is a clinic queue management tool designed to optimise patient flow in outpatients services. It aims to improve healthcare for both patients and medical staff by reducing unnecessary waiting and creating time to care. DASHclinic also includes notetaking, task requesting, and performing smart clinical coding. Health Innovation East is funding an evaluation of the tool.

The National Patient Safety Improvement Programmes

The National Patient Safety Improvement Programmes (NatPatSIPs) support a culture of safety, continuous learning and sustainable improvement across the healthcare system.
